Kobina Obu B.

Bachelor's DegreeUniversity of Ghana Legon

I consider myself a geek and a self taught, self made and driven individual. I graduated with a degree in Economics in Ghana but emigrated to the United Kingdom in 1991. I taught myself how to write software and spent 7 years writing software and acquiring practical on the job training at all levels of the software development lifecycle. The first 3 years were as an employee of Unigate and I have been a freelance software engineer and consultant ever since, making a living doing what I love most. I moved back to Ghana in late 1998 and continued as a freelance agent except for a 15 month stint in public service as the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency. It was in this role that I leveraged all 24 years of my IT and project management experience in re-engineering and repositioning a public service as a modern functional unit delivering spectacularly on its mandate. I voluntarily retired from the Public service in May 2017 and went back to freelance consulting
