Shah is currently working as a Communications Analyst for IOM's humanitarian communication projects in Pakistan. Previously she was serving as senior Evaluation Officer at IOM, providing project management and monitoring & evaluation services for infrastructural and socio-cultural projects in conflict affected areas of Pakistan. She has also worked as a consultant Program Analyst for Pakistan Center for Philanthropy - Certification Unit, where she evaluated program delivery of International Non Profit Organizations working in Pakistan. In the past she served as a researcher under the project “Violence Research and Development” under International Center for Violence Research, Germany. Before that she worked at a consulting firm (AAN Associates) on multiple strategic planning, institutional assessment and evaluation projects with UNICEF, PLAN International, and government departments such as Planning and Development department KP, Social Welfare Department KP and FATA disaster management authority.
Shah has a Masters Degree in International Peace Studies , from International University of Japan, and a Bachelors degree in Environmental Sciences from Comsats University Pakistan.
Her areas of interest include migration and social inclusion.
