Non-profit marine conservation scientist, manager, grant writer and knowledge manager who directed program and conducted projects of strategic initiatives in Philippine ocean conservation and small-scale fisheries including for National Network of Marine Protected Areas (aka PAMANA Ka sa Pilipinas) & Darwin Initiative 19-020 local fish extinction Project resulting to meaningful ocean conservation science that informed both policy and practice as shown by peer-review and grey publications. Engaged with & built NGO, government, donor and academic partnerships & collaborations that leveraged impact & influenced policy and practice at local & country levels. Experienced in developing & communicating marine conservation and science knowledge products with NGO, academe, government and coastal communities. Currently, a Research Fellow at Earth Law Center, a non-profit based in New York City and operating around the globe. Also, a current External Expert Reviewer and Contributor to IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services).
