Marianna D.

Ireland

Summary

I currently work at Christian Aid Ireland as the Programme Growth Officer for the "From Violence to Peace" programme. My role involves developing relationships with institutional and private donors, and supporting the country teams in developing funding proposals. I previously worked as Grant Developer with Action Contre la Faim Espagne (ACF) in Mali in 2016 and 2017. I coordinated the development of proposals for a wide range of donors including ECHO, OFDA, AECID and WFP. My job entailed supporting the technical team to ensure that we met donor requirement and produced quality proposals to secure funding for the years to come. For my NOHA Humanitarian Action Master, my thesis focused on humanitarian aid in urban settings and refugee protection. My other areas of expertise include capacity building, humanitarian donors, and humanitarian project cycle management. I did an internship at the European Commission's DG of Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO) as an Assistant Desk Office for the West Africa unit. In 2012 - 2014, I worked as a Process Lead at EA World Wide Customer Experience (EA-WWCE), as a Knowledge Base Administrator at BioWare and as a intern Project Manager at Star Translations. These past experiences have helped me to develop a great sense of organisation and of task prioritisation, as well as the confidence to work in fast-paced, stressful environments.
