Mark Huisenga is a Senior Program Manager in USAID’s Bureau for Food Security working on “Feed the Future” programs, and is the Markets & Partnerships Innovation Office’s Commercialization & Scaling Advisor. In this role he manages the Scaling Seeds and Technology Partnership, the Early Generation Seeds Activity and other projects. He conducts investment due diligence, particularly planning for scale of agricultural inputs. He has served as a technical advisor on several boards and committees for USAID. Before joining USAID in 2009, Huisenga was Director of Agriculture and Rural Economies at the Millennium Challenge Corporation where he designed and managed Compact investments in agriculture. As an international consultant he provided technical oversight of agricultural projects. Prior to this position, Huisenga was a manager and then Director of Cargill Technical Services. He has over 25 years of experience in the food and fiber industries in over 40 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
