I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sociology with the goal of developing a career in the international development field; I hope to join an organization that works on initiatives for sustainable socioeconomic development.
By the time I turned 18 I had lived in five different countries of which four face prevalent poverty related issues -particularly with respect to education. I have seen and experienced first-hand the negative effects dysfunctional educational systems have on society as a whole, which is why I am determined to dedicate my career to promote the implementation of research-based policy in order to stimulate healthy social development in impoverished regions of the world.
I am passionate about serving my community, both locally and globally. "Cosmopolitanism: Ethics in a World of Strangers" by Kwame Anthony Appiah is my favorite book of all time, and spending unreasonable amounts of time writing and working on infographics is my favorite hobby.
