I have 30 years of working experiences with the different development projects of the Government of Bangladesh in dealing with UNDP, World Bank, DFID-UK, CIDA, JICA, ADB, EEC/EU and Netherlands Technical Assistance Program and the Govt. of Bangladesh. I took responsibilities for different positions as for example Social Safeguard/ Resettlement Specialist, Capacity Strengthening Advisor, Community Development & Livelihood Advisor and Social Development Advisor etc. In dealing with the different development project, I was responsible for improving the human, social development and financial capacity of the rural community to promote their livelihoods and food security to ensure social protection, saving from the vulnerability during crisis, especially women access to resources for their empowerment.
In working with the different development projects, I have especially in-hands experience of more than 15 years in planning and implementing process of the land acquisition, Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) and rehabilitation programs in dealing with the Social Safeguard Policy of ADB and the World Bank in different development projects. I have in-depth knowledge and experience in dealing with the socio-economic impact study, addressing social safeguard issues related to large infrastructure projects impact, mitigation, public consultation, community communication and consultation, suitability, adaptability and sustainability in which I have been familiar with ADB and World Bank social safeguards policies and procedures; worked extensively and possessed rich experiences on safeguard topics related to large infrastructure including gas development project ; able to deal with complex issues looking from point of view of private sector, government, and international civil society.
Presently, I am working as an International Resettlement Consultant with the Ministry of Public Works in Afghanistan funded by ADB
