I have more than 16 years working experiences with International and likeminded organizations like CARE, Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) where more than 10 years worked as a part of senior management position in the field of Grants, Finance, Accounts, Administration Management, Procurement, Partner NGO fund management & monitoring, HR, Property & Inventory, Training & Capacity building activities, etc. Also experienced handling different donor funds like UK Aid, USAID, SIDA, AusAid (DFAT), SDC, GCERF, World Bank, Comic Relief etc.
I have substantial working experiences on handling the work relating to Finance and Grants, Accounts and Administration, Procurement and regular operation, Fraud and Corruption (if any), PNGO assessment for selecting potential partners and/or oversee financial activities, budgeting, reporting, compliance etc. regularly which can be brought to this position.
I have strong ability to gain the trust and confidence of colleagues and to handle confidential matters and have experience in conflict resolution. Designed and facilitated Financial Management training including to non-finance people.
Recently I have finished my job with Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) on 19th September 2017 where worked for more than 12 years. My last position was there as Manager-Grants Control where my main responsibilities were to lead the whole grants department of the organization for review and analysis the fund disbursement process/activities to the Sub-Grantees (PNGOs), review of PNGO financial reports, budgeting, variance analysis, cash flow, cash forecast of MJF and its 148 nos. PNGOs on timely manner.
Major success was to establish a Grants Management System (GMS), a software based accounting system in MJF to keep record of huge financial data and information of large numbers of partners, their reporting, funding status to keep updated SMT and donor regularly. I have developed standard visit report, monitoring checklist, budget preparation guideline, PNGO selection checklist, risk assessment checklist, organization health check form, best partner selection guideline and checklist etc. for the organization. Moreover I have also reviewed the procurement policy of MJF as well as financial and human resources policy and procedures manual for PNGOs and ensure necessary compliance effectively.s
I have completed double Masters, Masters in Accounting (M.Com) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA)-Major in Accounting & Finance, partly completed Cost and Management Accounting (CMA) and also qualified Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management (PGDPM) and Accounting Technician (AT) from the Association of Accounting Technicians of Bangladesh.
I have obtained various overseas (Switzerland, Thailand) and in country training from CARE, MJF and other organizations. All these qualifications and skills would add large values to my candidature.
I have strong supervisory & control ability skill. Supervised day to day’s activities of whole grants team of MJF and overseen partners’ accounts personnel very smoothly and effectively. I have excellent knowledge and working skills on operational control system, risk management, financial analysis, system design and development and auditing skill. I have high proficiency in communication skills both verbal and written and ability to write comprehensive reports with high standard.
Furthermore I have advance level skills on computer operation, using accounting software, spreadsheets and MS Office applications. Well experienced working with the multicultural people and environment. Can work with high pressure and meet deadlines. Have ability to work independently and within a team keeping liaise with Senior Management Team (SMT) and technical experts to implement activities within budget and donor’s regulations. I am gender sensitive.
