Melia Petersen manages ASU International Development’s communication strategy, including social media, managing events and developing marketing materials. She also acts as the Outreach Coordinator for ASU’s USAID-funded Research and Technical Assistance Center (RTAC), a program that supports USAID’s missions, bureaus, and independent offices to make evidence-based decisions and leverage scientific expertise to provide rapid, on-demand technical assistance. She has also assisted ASU ID in data analysis, research and proposal development and manages ASU's strategic partnership with Chemonics International. She graduated from ASU with a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability specializing in Policy and Governance and minors in Global Studies and French and is pursuing a Master's in Program Evaluation and Data Analytics.
