Miroslav Rončák is tourism crisis manager and international expert on sustainable tourism development (Recent projects: Czech Tourist Authority, Slovak Tourism Board, Hungary Tourism Board, Budapest Festival & Tourism Centre, Tourismus + Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main, Poland Tourism Board, Kazakhstan Tourism board, Uzbektourism etc.). Miroslav Rončák has more than 25 years’ experience in international tourism and MICE industry. He spent 12 years as a director of the Czech Tourist Authority-CzechTourism in Frankfurt, Berlin, Moscow. He was responsible for managing tourism board of the Czech Republic as an attractive tourism destination in Germany, Russia, CIS and Baltic States. As a recognition of his international tourism engagement he has been awarded the “Tourism Olymp” and Travel Industry & Mass media professional Award "Leaders of the Travel industry" for his work as the best foreign representative of tourism for Russia, CIS and Baltic states. He was a presidium member of Corps Touristique in Germany too. Currently, he is representing the Germany`s leading travel trade media FVW Medien as an regional expert in Russia, CIS, Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Besides that, he is a regional strategic advisor of TCI Research, an independent UNWTO-awarded market intelligence agency leading in international tourism and travel competitive analysis. As a tourism executive he is a regular speaker at international forums in Eastern Europe. He is also working as a tourism researcher and lecturer in the Department of Recreation, Tourism and Leisure Studies at the Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. His research fellowship with topic sustainable tourism development took place at Institut de Recherche et d'Études Supérieures du Tourisme (IREST) of Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. He is executive board member of TRIANGLE knowledge alliance for sustainable & responsible tourism and one of the contributors in the first international book about overtourism.
