Summary

Dr. Fadjar is a medical doctor by training with solid nine-year working experience in the nexus of e-commerce, public health and development sector. He currently serves Center for Indonesia's Strategic Development Initiatives (CISDI) -the former Office of Indonesia's President Special Envoy on Millennium Development Goals- as Outreach & Partnership Coordinator. Prior to joining CISDI, as Editor in Chief of KlikDokter.com he managed multi-professional team of over 32 professionals (of 27 were GP's and Specialists) producing health articles and serving real-time medical consultation. His leadership assured smooth editorial transition, as the platform ventured with KMK Online, and resulted in 18 million monthly page views (>300% growth) and 36000 online medical consultations. Earlier, with MIT J-PAL Southeast Asia as Research Associate, he employed randomised control-trial (RCT) to evaluate smoking prevention policy implementation in Yogyakarta. Back in 2011, he initiated public-private partnership between Nokia Indonesia, Gamatechno and University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) School of Medicine on Nokia OVI Lifetools and Nokia Live Healthy project. His area of interest includes digital health (online medical consultation), NCD control and prevention policy as well as health system strengthening. He believes future of health requires intersection expertise of medicine, ICT & human behaviour. He enjoys combining data on policy & marketing to help making sound decisions and advocacy strategy. Dr Fadjar holds, with merit-based scholarship, a Master in Global Health from Karolinska Institutet, the home of Nobel Prize in medicine and physiology in Sweden; and a Medical Doctor degree from UGM. He received several distinguished awards such as the Swedish Institute Award (2014), Erasmus Mundus Scholarship (2012) and the Global Health Awards from Charité Universitatsmedizin Berlin (2010). In 2011, the Government of Indonesia support his internship at the WHO HQ in Geneva.
