Mohammad P.

United States

I am passionate about socio-economic development that is human centered and respectful of the environment. I combine 7 years of University level studies in economics with a focus on political economy of development processes and thirty years of practical experience in designing, managing, monitoring and evaluating development interventions in diverse contexts across Asia and Africa, with a focus on South Asia and the Middle East and North Africa. I have a proven track record of offering sound advice to Governments, multilateral agencies and civil society actors on how best to overcome development challenges and increase effectiveness of developmental interventions. I have worked on community based development and post conflict reconstruction and reconciliation. Though an economist by training I have always been committed to working in a multi-disciplinary fashion and am a firm believer in the holistic approach adopted by classic social scientists and feel that excessive specialization leads us to only focus on a particular aspect and miss the forest.
