Morgan Rote is passionate about promoting cross-cultural understanding and pursuing a career in public diplomacy and international exchange.
While attending Western Michigan University, she interned as an International Program Officer at Colleagues International. During the summer of 2015, she had the opportunity to study abroad in China to gain a more in-depth understanding on the culture and language while studying at the Beijing Language and Culture University. Morgan graduated from Western Michigan University in 2016, with a B.A. in Global and International Studies and a minor in Chinese.
Currently, she is a student at Wayne State University, pursuing her second B.A. degree in Asian Studies, with a focus in Chinese with the goal of becoming a translator. Morgan is also interning at Global Ties Detroit as a Program Assistant.
In February, she traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in the 2018 Global Ties Emerging Leaders Program.
