Development of my core skills, that is the web programming, was developed while I was on my on the job training at Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) Region VIII. The institution was manually or traditionally operating their inventory systems which lengthens the turnaround time of transaction and also results in sometimes erroneous posting of payments and orders. I stepped up and proposed an Inventory Management System (IMS) which the institution has granted me permission to do so. So I worked for that system and completed it in a month. Development and testing were directly done in PCIC, and I’m proud to say that the system is now being implemented in the department where I spend my internship. It has helped them efficiently and effectively deliver their tasks in inventory management. My knowledge in web programming and web development were honed through rigorous research especially during the period where we were having my SAD (System Analysis Design) and DBMS subject that I was able to apply it in making PHP. I have helped a lot of students make web application and thesis completion from several schools. With having such projects, I was able to apply my learning immediately even before employment and is very much more willing to train and learn a lot for the improvement of my skills that I can use in contributing to the attainment of goals of the organization I will be working with.
I was also awarded by my school a proficiency award for PC troubleshooting as I am skilled in performing PC troubleshooting and receives a lot of request especially in the area where I lived.
I won first place in Web Programming and 2nd place in the Mobot Line Follower in the Skills competition held at ACLC last February 2017.
