I have more than 13 years of progressive program administration and HR experience. I worked for both, private and INGO sectors in Jordan.
I’m currently working for HFG USAID Project as HR Manager. Prior to joining the HFG USAID Project, I worked for different INGOs(RI, IRC, CARE) as well as a large private company at Senior HR, Admin and Finance Positions.
January 2013-October 2016, I worked as the HR Manager and Senior HR Manager for Relief International (RI) and contributed greatly to the establishment and constant improvement of functioning of the HR but also other departments at RI Jordan, its expansion within Jordan and South Syria in 2015 and 2016.
During my time with the RI Jordan I have worked harmoniously with 5 different Country Directors, regional as well as the heads of different country teams and projects. I initiated many changes and improvements, played an important role in hiring of key staff, coordinated and liaised with colleagues from the regional and teams from different RI offices. I also managed all aspects of the HR at RI Jordan, at times completely solely, served as a focal point with various government departments, lawyers etc and actively contributed to RI Jordan’s growth that employed, over 70 national staff, and more than 700 Syrian volunteers and incentive workers in both Jordan and Syria. As a recognition of my performance with the RI Jordan I was continuously evaluated with highest grades by all CDs in Jordan, promoted to Senior HR Manager in Jan 2016, included in the RI’s Local Leadership Development Program (LLDP) and RI’s Surge Roster. I was also given the opportunity for further development through the online course provided by the Cornell University as a part of my RI learning
Prior to joining the RI, I worked for a large private International company, International Dairy and Juice (IDJ) as the HR supervisor and Compensation and Benefits Manager. I, basically, built the HR department, and all its functions from scratch, together with the other colleagues, and contributed to the rapid growth of the company that employed 425 employees at the time of joining and 1200 at the time of my leaving at the end of 2012. Over the years with the IDJ I gained valuable HR experience and improved my overall skills. I would especially like to emphasize here the improvement in my communication, negotiation, diplomacy, team work, management but also many other skills.
I started my career with the international NGO back in 2004 as Senior Admin and Finance Officer for the CARE international UNHCR funded projects. This experience helped me understand the functioning of the INGOs and all aspects of managing of its projects. I also learned a lot about the culture and absorbed many other positive aspects of working for the INGOs.
I hope that I will be able to further excel and improve my skills through this opportunity that would allow me to use my knowledge, experience and motivation in a challenging but also rewarding environment.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
