Dr Olufemi Olarewaju is co-founder of the Sustainability School, Lagos. He is the founding Executive Director of the Resource Innovation and Solutions Network Nigeria (RISNN). He serves as an Associate Lecturer at the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL), University of Ibadan where he teaches Energy Policy and Regulations. He is also Research Fellow at the Centre for Public Policy Alternatives (CPPA), a think-tank based in Lagos, Nigeria.
His professional experience spans over two decades in private, public, and nongovernmental organizations. Before relocating back to Nigeria and joining the Centre for Public Policy Alternatives, Lagos, he most recently served as a Research Fellow with the National Centre for Policy Analysis, a think-tank with offices in Dallas, Texas and Washington, District of Columbia. His doctoral dissertation titled “Harnessing the Sun: Developing Capacity to Sustain Local Solar Energy Systems” is based on the Evaluation of the Lagos State Ministry of Science and Technology (LAMOST) Solar Rural Electrification Project
He is a consummate professional with very diverse academic background in the sciences (BSc. Applied Geophysics, Ife), business (MS. Information Systems Auditing, California), public policy (Ph.D. Public Affairs, Texas), and sustainability leadership (Masters, Sustainability Leadership and Strategy, Arizona State). Olarewaju also has a Certificate of Completion in Internal Auditing (Texas 2007), and a Certificate of Completion in Information Systems Auditing from California Polytechnic University, Pomona’s College of Business Administration Graduate Programs and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS 2003).
