Since I was young, I have been involved in different volunteer activities in Spain working with disable people. But it was in 2011 when I have my first international experience helping for a short period of time in Kolkata with the Sisters of Charity.
After developing my professional career in the private industry working as a clinical trial monitor in different therapeutic areas (HIV, transplantation, anaemia, arthritis, down syndrome and oncology) for different Pharmaceutical Companies at national and international level, in 2016 I decided to put in stand by my career for one year to go to Zambia to work as a field volunteer coordinating different projects that Kubuka NGO has there with the idea of empowering the population through education and entrepreneurship to facilitate their development.
After this first experience, I realized that there are a lot of things to do and that if I wanted to be part of world´s change the best thing I could do was to prepare myself to be a better professional, so I decided to extent my volunteer work there and use also this new year to professionalise my profile studying a Master in International Development and Cooperation.
It took me long to realize that this is my life and for sure my experience living in Zambia help me but I also know that these past years working in different companies have given me knowledge and expertise that I am sure could help me to be a better cooperant.
