Summary

I am a native of São Paulo, Brazil, but have spent significant amounts of time in the United States, Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, and most recently, Ghana. Over the past few years, I co-planned a 3-day professional conference of 1,000 participants, called A Better World by Design, represented RISD’s first research lab dedicated to applying design solutions toward international development, called DESINE-Lab, and am an active member of the International Development Innovation Network, based out of MIT’s D-Lab. I’ve worked on diverse international and multi-disciplinary teams. After six months living and working for a successful social enterprise in Ghana (www.burrobrand.biz), I moved to New York City, where I applied innovative techniques to design and fabrication of furniture pieces, and am now responsible for production of materials for company transformations.
