Project Director, COP and Team Leader of large complex public sector projects with a focus on governance, integrity systems, anticorruption, M&E, PFM, strategic planning and management reforms, project management and program evaluation. Includes national governance reforms, development of a federal one-stop shop, the reform of local government systems in South Sudan, Somalia, Liberia, Philippines and Indonesia, public sector restructuring and reform across Africa, Southeast Asia, South Asia and MENA. I also have experience in leading innovative interventions in capacity building, institutional strengthening and design, policy capacity development, HRM, economic governance, judicial reform, civil society capacity building, political and legislative reform among others. I have been COP, Project Director or Team Leader for the past 20 years, with USAID, DFAT, DFID, EU, World Bank, UNDP and multi-donor projects. My international development experience and career are based on my previous career as a senior executive in the Australian federal & state civil services (Education, Health, Social Services, Indigenous Affairs, policy research) equivalent to the US Senior Executive Service Deputy Assistant Secretary & Assistant Secretary. I also have experience in the British Senior Civil Service and Japanese Civil Service Prime Minister's Office. Extensive experience in leading & managing project monitoring and evaluation programs and as Director, Program Evaluation in the Australian Department of Human Services.
Former staff member of the World Bank and a long-term expert with USAID, DFID, World Bank, DFAT, AusAID, EU and MDTFs and a short-term expert with UNDP and ADB projects in over 40 countries in Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia.
