Ms. Rym Bedoui is a private sector development specialist with over 18 years of experience working to improve the competitiveness and export-readiness of small and medium businesses across Tunisia. She has an extensive private sector network in the country, cultivated through two decades of work as an entrepreneur, small business owner and as an Executive Board Member of AmCham Tunisia for 5 consecutive mandates. She was elected as the President of the Tunisian American Friendship Association (TAFA).
Ms. Bedoui is currently specializing in the development of US franchise brands in the region (Tunisia and Europe). She has also put her knowledge of the US market to the service of Tunisian exporters of food products.
Ms. Bedoui was Chief of Party for the USAID funded Tunisia Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Project implemented by IESC. She has also worked for IESC in Tunisia as Country Representative for the USAID-funded Global Trade and Technology Network program, where she led project implementation in Tunisia, facilitating trade linkages for Tunisian SMEs, engaging in reverse trade missions to the U.S., and fostering technical assistance to the private sector through IESC pro bono technical experts.
As a young entrepreneur, she was the Founder and CEO of Agora International, an international trading company specializing in exporting authentic Tunisian food products to the US, Europe, and the Middle East and also Founder and CEO of the Finest Food Factory, sa. Ms. Bedoui started her career as an account manager in advertising companies in the US and Tunisia.
