Saeed Ahmed is a senior executive experienced in managing organizations, leading both non-profit programs and business projects at any scale, and supervising teams with very significant number of people in complex environments.
Held various roles and worked as a chief executive officer; a senior advisor; an international sales representative; a freelance consultant; an activist; a board member; a volunteer and a goodwill ambassador. From 2004 till 2016 Saeed Ahmed was a social activist, advocate of youth rights and a Civil Society Leader designing activities, managing diverse projects, leading programs and coordinating efforts of many non-state actors.
He co-founded URG (United Resource Group), a policy, research and consulting think-tank. He joined the GOLLIS University management team by holding a heavy duty at there and playing a challenging role as the Deputy Vice President.
He is the producer and the lead presenter of FOOLAAD Program, an upcoming series of documentary films on the political development and the state-building process of Somaliland. He has a strong interest in social research and is currently engaged with various self-assigned studies on the contemporary political and socio-economic history of Somaliland.
Authored and co-authored academic papers, articles, commentaries on Somali Studies, Politics, Social Dynamics, etc. Developed training manuals, discussion notes, handbooks and other reference materials on Leadership & Organizational Development, Policy Advocacy, Activism, Corporate Strategy Setting, SOPs, etc.
