Samuel Hunter S.

United States

I've begun a career as Global Bank and Brokerage Consultant covering primarily middle market sell-side institutions at FactSet. I leverage my knowledge of finance and the power of FactSet's industry-leading market data platform to streamline client's workflow and increase efficiency. I am also a CFA level 1 candidate. To learn about how I came into this position, please see a more detailed personal background below. After gaining investment industry experience and studying international political economy at UCLA, I decided to go back to university to pursue an MSc in International Management with a concentration in finance at Trinity College Dublin. Through the program, I have deepened my understanding of finance, particularly as it relates to corporate finance, valuation, equity/fixed income analysis, and capital markets. I’m capable of producing firm forecasts, models and valuations with deeper consideration to their respective business models and specific industry contexts. Therefore, my degree has given me a unique, managerial perspective, which a traditional finance degree could not provide. I have also worked construction in Costa Rica and maintained three jobs in New Zealand while playing high performance rugby. I have also held various short term jobs in order to get myself through school. In all these experiences I've shown cultural adaptability, effective communication skills, and strong leadership. I've gained a skill set and experiences that formed outside the classroom and have afforded me a unique world perspective.
