I am an experienced researcher working on organised crime. I am particularly interested in strategies to address organised crime, connections to security and development, law enforcement and counter narcotics. I am also interested in the motivations of individuals engaged in organised crime and the rapidly evolving nature of organised crime groups.
I hold a PhD from the London School of Economics. My research examined international initiatives to address organised crime through peacebuilding missions under the framework of the security-development nexus.
At RUSI I have worked on projects focused on drug trafficking, modern slavery, the illicit wildlife trade and the role of crime in conflict-affected states.
My regional expertise includes West Africa, the Horn of Africa and the Western Balkans.
