I am an influential and collaborative professional with 15+ years of experience, out of which 10years in Indigenous communities. I diligently endeavor to optimize educational policies, programs, and systemic structures to improve student achievement, create a safe and caring learning environment, and facilitate community involvement in collaboration with territorial leaders and stakeholders while reflecting communities' diverse needs and backgrounds.
Throughout the progression of my career, I have developed a highly-refined skillset centered on student engagement and welfare. My current Doctorate program thesis seeks to explore leadership for student engagement in Northern schools in Canada, which is in alignment with many leadership aspects of the Position.
I drive the continual development of programs as an educational leader and internal consultant to department heads, faculty, and administrative teams. Through my work, I facilitate increasing student opportunities, institutional reputation, and operational development in addressing societal issues such as high suicide rates among the young, colonial influence in education, language loss, etc. I offer advice and motivation to staff members, fostering growth towards both their personal goals and their ability to take on management roles to address student needs.
