PhD research scholar having worked in the field of nutrition sciences. Have Consistent academic record with zeal to learn new concepts quickly and apply innovative ideas for achievement of desired results.I have worked on cowpea, a popular pulse crop of Africa and India for my dissertation. The topic of my thesis was "Assessment of quality characters of whole, dehulled and split cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L). Walp) and its husk". The subject was taken with the aim of increasing the consumption of this pulse as an effort to bring down the level of undernutrition in these countries. Cowpea is a globally consumed and relatively cheap pulse. I laid special focus on the husk of cowpea which is a byproduct and generally goes waste, irrespective of its high fibre content. The work concluded on submission of a patent on the Pant High Fibre Soup Sticks (Patent No. IPMC/Patent-IPRs/F.No.22/458) containing cowpea husk. I have also published three research papers and one popular article.
