Dr. Stellah Bosire is a health professional with extensive international and domestic experience with and foreign government agencies, private donors, and other organizations monitoring and appraising public health programs conducting epidemiological and operations research; measuring impact of novel techniques for disease prevention, treatment, and mitigation; and document program outputs, effectiveness, and strategic development.
Stellah is also passionate about social justice issues as she has extensive experience with non-for- profit organizations researching, building movements, fundraising and project development. Her areas of expertise have been involved in conducting policy briefs, documentaries, research, project review and evaluation studies and baseline surveys in the following areas; Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR); HIV; TB; Human Rights; Key Population; Training, business development with gender being a crosscutting theme. She has so far influenced more than forty policies cutting across health and other development areas, influenced law reforms and continues to be a though leader in health for Kenya.
Her fundraising ability has seen her successfully intensify funds raised to the HIV/AIDS Tribunal of Kenya from USD $ 100,000 to 2,000,000 in two years, a 200% increase. At the realm of the medical association as the Chief Executive officer she brought in strategies of diversity in sources of resources increasing membership, crowdfunding for good, grant writing, corporate giving which saw funds increase from USD 200,000 to 600,000 in a span of two years. Stellah has overseen two non-for-profit organization chairing their Finance and fundraising arm which cumulatively control budget of USD $ 3,000,000. Stellah believes that sustainability is key in successful non for profit-organizations and calling for innovative ways to attract investments into human and social capital.
