Tandwa Syakayuwa is a social scientist with technical expertise as a community development worker and public health specialist, with over 12 years' experience on various developmental projects working with international donors such as European Union, UNICEF, WHO, UNFPA, USAID, Save the Children International, Child Fund and Government; Ministry of Health and Ministry of Community Development.
She has expertise in program design, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Integrated Social Behavior Change (SBC) approaches, Gender, Psychosocial Support, Youth and Orphans & Vulnerable children for vulnerable communities with excellent Community Engagement, Monitoring and Systems Strengthening Skills. Brilliant skills in managing and providing technical support to HIV / AIDS prevention programs, Malaria Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child Health and Nutrition programs (RMNCH_N), with proven expertise in health systems program performance management and capacity building.
Demonstrated capacity in working with service delivery partners and grant management through provision of technical support to Provincial and District Health Offices, facilities, CBOs/ NGOs and the Private sectors in organizational development, strategic planning and management, resource mobilization, advocacy, knowledge management and systems strengthening. Expertise in managing integrated Quality Improvement processes such as site mentorship, service quality assessment (SQA), Data audits, Qi projects and provision of technical support in development of evidence based work plans with high impact interventions informed by low performing data informed by varies tools such as Score cards. She has excellent skills in governance, advocacy, networking coupled with brilliant skills in using participatory capacity building approaches / methodologies including behavioral economics and design thinking.
Highly qualified in proposal writing, identification formulation and preparation of draft program documents, newsletters, media briefings, presentations, data collecting and analysis, designing M&E systems and programs to enhance data collection such as logical frames, program design documents, M&E databases, baseline surveys, monitoring forms and tools. Effectively able to interpret data and present it in a timely and simpler to inform program status for effective management decisions making to stakeholders through weekly, monthly, midterm and annual briefs.
