Summary

I worked for Private Mental Health Hospitals and Rehabilitation Units for three years whilst studying Third World Development with Sociology BSc (Hons) at the University of Derby. After working in the Mental Health Sector I was employed by P3 Charity in January 2016 to present, the charitable organisation has various sectors within it but the overall aim being Community Development. I work within the Homelessness Service in South Derbyshire as part of a small team whose aims include providing temporary accommodation to homeless individuals and families. Among our objectives, we aim for the progression of our clients by working with the local council to secure permanent housing for clients and ensure service users have access to support provided by the local Mental Health Service, Addiction Agencies and Employment Agencies. I completed a postgraduate course in May 2018, (LLM) International Protection of Human Rights and Personal Freedom at the University of Derby. My Independent Studies research focussed on the 'Forced and Coerced Sterilisation of HIV Positive Women' with emphasis on Human Rights Violations.
