I have more than 25 years’ experience in the field of water and wastewater engineering. This experience gained during my academic and consultancy career in many of the Middle Eastern countries. Deep understanding of water quality and wastewater problems in Egypt and Middle East, with subsequently applied experience and understanding of how to tackle these problems.
I have a strong academic background coupled with extended professional experience of working in development projects identification, preparation of preliminary and final design studies, preparations of infrastructure mater plans, execution and management, monitoring and evaluation, and provision of Technical Assistance (TA) and on-the-job training to agency staff on wastewater treatment and safe reuse. I’ve worked with FAO/UN for 9 years as Chief Technical Adviser (Team Leader of 3 projects in both KSA and UAE). Currently, I’m professor of Sanitary Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt.
