Theresa Kim, PhD, MS, is a public health researcher with 16 years’ experience, including four years in reproductive, maternal, and child
health, seven years in HIV/AIDS prevention, four years in program
evaluation, and 16 years in quantitative research methods. She
presently applies her comprehensive quantitative research experience
to addressing family planning use among West African populations. Dr.
Kim has presented research findings at conferences and has published
research results. She has extensive statistical programming
experience and is an expert at handling nationally representative data.
She has worked in a variety of organizations, collaborating with
multisite research institutions, state governments, and federal agencies
on public health research. She has conducted program evaluations for
the Gates Foundation, US State Department, US HHS Department,
and USAID-funded programs. She serves as a reviewer for women’s
health journals and an at-large board member for the Washington
Statistical Society branch of the American Statistical Association. Dr.
Kim is fluent in French.
