With a solid academic grounding in Social Sciences with majors in Social Work and Public Administration; I have over 10 years working experience in the development field especially HIV/AIDS. I am currently enrolled at Stellenbosch University for the Post Graduate Diploma in Transdisciplinary Health and Development Studies; (part time) a program which provides a strong conceptual foundation for theoretically and methodologically grounded engagements with applied concerns around health and development and further develops skills necessary to take on the social and political complexities of health and development in Africa.
I am a Senior Program Officer at Pact, an International NGO whose mission is to build and strengthen the capacity of local civil society organizations and governments to provide comprehensive & quality services to communities where I am leading the implementation of the Demand Creation for Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision Project. I have previously worked for local NGO's such as the Family Life Association of Swaziland (FLAS), the Swaziland Infant Nutrition Action Network, an FBO (Selulasandla Village) and a Government department (Women in Development-DPM's office).
I am also in possession of several accredited short course certificates in Social Behavior Change Communication, Project Management for Development, Training and Development Management as well as a certificate in HIV testing and Counselling which have been obtained over the years to complement my experience. Over the years I have strengthened my skills in program management including implementation, coordination, supervision, M&E, and compiling donor reports. I have experience in training and facilitation and I have excellent verbal and written communication skills. I am also proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
