Tijjani Suleiman .M, BSc (Education-Biology), has Ten (10) years working experience with International NGOs and projects in Nigeria and open to new opportunities. He was the State Program Coordinator (Abt Associates) for the just concluded USAID SHOPs Plus Project in Kebbi State, Nigeria. Prior to Joining USAID SHOPs Plus Project, he was Demand Creation Officer for Malaria Consortium Global Fund (GF) Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) Project in Kebbi State. He worked briefly with the GF iCCM project focusing on Malaria, Diarrhea and Pneumonia prevention and case managements, he had worked with state actors and state team to ensure effective roll out of the project in 21 Local Government Area of Kebbi State. He served as Community Service Officer with Pathfinder International covering Sokoto and Kebbi in the GF round 9 HIV and AIDs Treatment and Care Project.
He is experienced with teams of programmers in several other organizations across nine states in Nigeria to Establishing and building the capacity of State government and sub-grantee CSOs to implement health and community gender focused services through integration of reproductive health and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Programs focusing on HIV/AIDs and Opportunistic Infections (Tuberculosis, Malaria, Diarrhea and Pneumonia) prevention and case managements. He had also played the roles of Technical Specialist in HIV Prevention and Care and support in PEPFAR supported USAID funded (Pro-ACT) Project with Management Sciences for Health (MSH) focusing on adolescence reproductive health, covered Sokoto and Kebbi. He had worked with Family Health International (Global HIV and AIDs Initiatives, Nigeria (GHAIN) USAID Project) covering Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara State respectively as Strategic Behaviour Change Communication Officer (SBCC Officer).
As acting team Leader and HIV Prevention Advisor in CEDPA PL Project funded by USAID/PEPFAR in 2010 he was a very passionate public health professional with strong management and leadership skills, who had always ensure beneficiaries exploration of diverse public health services at all developmental areas, in this course he had built solid skills in Demand creation for Family Planning, Nutritional counseling and Care and support for Vulnerable Children during his course of experience. Tijjani is always willing to relocate and familiar with the following terrains: Kano, FCT, Niger, Kogi, Benue, Bauchi, Zamfara, Kebbi and Sokoto State. Tijjani is also engaged in project impact promotion through fact based interaction (Behavior Change Communication - BCC) with community and State actors.
Tijjani is an influential advocate of Male involvement in Maternal and Child Health activities through BCC promotion and economic strengthening activities for rural women in hard to reach communities to improve in personal and environmental hygiene, and on their Infant and Young Children Feeding.
