Multidisciplinary environmental manager with many years of practical experience working at various levels in international development.
I started my professional career with a diploma and several years of employment in various positions within the electronic industry. Establishing standard operating, quality assurance and safety procedures and elaborating test protocols and user manuals I gained useful skills managing projects and prioritizing on outcomes while keeping an eye for details.
With a career shift to sales positions I then strengthened my project management expertise while improving language, soft, and business skills. Further team leading experience coupled with the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills such as business accounting, economics, marketing and PR made me more confident with task at management level.
A final career change followed with a bachelor degree in environmental engineering specializing in nature management while completing a minor in horticulture. Ever since I have worked in management positions at international level focusing on natural resources and ecosystem management and international trade. Working among others in the aquaculture, agriculture and forestry sectors and coordinating with representatives from governments, NGOs, the private industry and other stakeholders, I developed a sound understanding of the international policy agenda, governance issues and cultural differences in business practices.
Project management excellence in cross-cultural contexts, strong team-leading skills, and the ability to succeed in demanding environments make me an ideal team member for an ambitious multidisciplinary project of global dimension.
