I'm an innovative Geography graduate with a special interest in leveraging geospatial technologies for humanitarian, development and environmental applications. I'll be earning international development experience in Kakata, Liberia with the International Citizens Service until late December. but I am actively looking to secure a role for my return.
I'm different to your traditional candidate. I have unorthodox experience in the likes of expedition leadership, management, and logistics, having led two separate expeditions to the Malaysian jungle. I've also organised an award-winning academic conference during my degree, had press releases go viral in the national press and I'm swiftly becoming an expert in the application of UAV technology. During my degree I specialised in Remote Sensing and GIS, and used a drone
to survey Coral Reefs for my dissertation. I am skilled in ArcGIS, QGIS, Pix4D, and Agisoft Photoscan.
Presentations are one of my strongest suits, and I've received multiple awards and very high grades to quantify that. My strong time-management skills enabled me to perform effectively at a part-time job throughout my degree, alongside organising expeditions, conferences and even running for office in local elections. I was genuinely delighted to receive a departmental commendation for my efforts throughout my degree at graduation- hard work pays off!
In the future, I am aiming to return to university to complete a postgraduate qualification, but in the meantime, I am looking forward to making a real difference and impact to an organisation. If you think you could be that organisation, please, get in touch!
