MSc International Security and Law

Since my time as an Intern with the Department of Corporate Security of the Daimler AG in 2015, I developed a keen interest and extensive knowledge in security studies. I have continued on this path and educated myself through voluntary internships, seminars and a Master’s degree in International Security and Law. The programme of the University of Southern Denmark is unique in integrating the political, juridicial, and ethical dimensions of conflicts in one comprehensive assessment. I am currently finalising my postgraduate studies with a dissertation on ‘Robust Peacekeeping Mandates in light of Violent Extremism and Terrorism.’ For the purpose of gaining first-hand insight on the matter, I spent six months at the Faculty of Academic Affairs and Research of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Accra. I had the opportunity to learn from leading senior researchers in their field and to get into touch with military personnel from different missions. After finishing my degree, I hope to continue within the field of international security. I am especially interested in work areas that are concerned with conflict prevention, peace building, human rights and international humanitarian law.
