The objective of the project is to make progress towards the achievement of Millennium Development Goal 1 (the eradication of extreme poverty and hunger) in Myanmar.
 
To this end, the project will undertake the following activities:
Activity 1: Capacity building of small-scale producers and producers groups
Activity 2: Technical training on production, processing and marketing
Activity 3: Strengthening Market Linkages, distribution of inputs (with revolving funds), micro-finance, cash for work, studies and researches
 
The total budget for this project is €135.75 million to be funded by the European Union (EU), Australia, Denmark, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
