RESEARCHER’S NOTE:The project was formerly “Second Local Government Support Project in Tanzania”The objective of the Urban Local Government Strengthening Program is to improve institutional performance for urban service delivery in participating urban local government authorities.The appraisal authorization is scheduled on 27 July 2012. The project is expected to go to the Board for approval on 25 September 2012.The total project cost is estimated at US$225 million.UPDATES:23 November 2012The project is expected to become effective by 25 January 2013 and is estimated to be completed by December 2018.29 October 2012The project has been approved by the Board on 23 October 2012. The total project cost is now estimated at US$255 million.
