ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION:
 
The World Bank intends to finance the assignment/services described below under a Healthy Mothers and Healthy Babies trust fund from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
 
The service is an impact evaluation study to investigate the overall impact of the Subsidy Reinvestment Empowerment Program (SURE-P); the effect of alternative incentives regimes to midwives on their retention rates; the effect of conditional cash transfers on utilization of MCH services; and the effect of community monitoring of essential commodities on incidence of stock-out of supplies at the PHC.
 
In order to achieve this, the World Bank seeks to hire a Consultant (firm or consortium) to carry out baseline data collection for impact evaluation for the Maternal and Child Health Initiative of the SURE-P across the country. The Consultant will be under contract with the World Bank.
 
The primary input into the IE is high-quality, reliable, and consistent data collected from a number of sources. The consultant(s) will carry out this data collection at the following levels: Pregnant Women and their Households, Midwives, Primary Health Facility Managers, WDC Chairmen and Community Leaders. Data collection will be carried out in all 36 States and the FCT.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The World Bank now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). 1. Provide information showing that they are qualified in the field of the assignment.
2. Provide information on the technical and managerial capabilities of the firm.
3. Provide information on their core business and years in business.
4. Provide information on the qualifications of key staff.
