The objectives of this assignment are to assist the Government of Bangladesh to amend the current Building Code with the purpose of developing mandatory standards to accelerate the development of green buildings in Dhaka. This in turn will result in greater efficiency in terms of electricity/water usage and a reduction of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions from the targeted buildings sectors. The international firm will work closely with the IFC staff based in Dhaka and Washington during the course of the project and will also be responsible for supervising the work of the local Bangladesh consultants. The overall work program will consist of the two following closely linked components:(a) Diagnostic and Analytical Base Case and (b) development of GB Code

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

The objectives of this assignment are to assist the Government of Bangladesh to amend the current Building Code with the purpose of developing mandatory standards to accelerate the development of green buildings in Dhaka. This in turn will result in greater efficiency in terms of electricity/water usage and a reduction of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions from the targeted buildings sectors.

ELIGIBILITY
Significant hands-on experience in the field of building energy efficiency / green buildings. The consultant should have broad experience on all aspects of building energy consumption and efficiency.

The consultant will be a firm.

The World Bank now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals).
