Technical Assistance and Fund Management of the Somalia Stability FundFunded by Department for International Development - DFID Location Somalia Status
DescriptionDFID Somalia is seeking to engage a Service Provider for providing technical assistance and fund management (approx. £23 million) of Somalia Stability Fund (SSF). SSF seeks to provide more stability for poor Somalis by building peace and security, strengthening administration, and improving infrastructure and services. SSF is a joint-donor funded mechanism, with pooled funds from the UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and the United Arab Emirates. The Service Provider (SP) will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SSF: receiving and developing funding proposals, managing disbursements to successful applicants, monitoring project implementation and reporting to the SSF Secretariat Office. The SP will procure offices in Nairobi, also housing the Secretariat Office, and will be expected to travel to Somalia on a regular basis, liaising with implementing partners and other local contacts. The Somalia context is subject to rapid change and DFID requires a service provider who can demonstrate an innovative and flexible approach to fund management, implementation and monitoring.
