The World Bank Islamabad Office invites Expression of Interest (EoI) from renowned/well reputed Audit firms/companies enlisted as category A in the State Bank of Pakistan’s approved list of audit firms, to conduct Independent Procurement Reviews (IPR) for Third Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund Project (PPAF) and Water Sector Capacity Building Project (WCAP)
 
The assignment will require the firm to:
 
(i) Verify that the procurement and contracting processes have been followed;
(ii) In case of those contracts which are subject to prior review, perform an independent review of the Bank’s procurement supervision;
(iii) Compliance to the Banks general guiding principles of Economy and Efficiency, transparency, equal opportunity, and quality;
(iv) Verify technical compliance, physical completion, and price competitiveness aspect of each contract; and
v) Provide recommendations for possible improvements

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION:

INDIVIDUAL / FIRM PROFILE: The consultant will be a firm.

 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

 

The World Bank now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

 

The selection shall be done following the Bank’s CQS (Selection Based on Consultants’ Qualification) method as provided in Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011.

 

Interested consultants are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest.

 

Expressions of Interest should be submitted, in English, electronically through World Bank Group eConsultant2 (https://wbgeconsult2.worldbank.org/wbgec/index.html)

 

Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding.

 

Qualification Criteria:

 

  • 1. Provide information showing that they are qualified in the field of the assignment.
  • 2. Provide information on the technical and managerial capabilities of the firm.
  • 3. Provide information on their core business and years in business.
  • 4. Provide information on the qualifications of key staff.
