Job Description

Nathan Associates Inc. is seeking a full-time administrative assistant for its International Group.

Requirements •     Bachelors degree. •     2 or more years of administrative work experience. •     Knowledge of government contracting (mainly with the U.S. Agency for International Development, but also with other funding agencies such as World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, and the Asian Development Bank). •     Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications and use of the Internet as a research tool. •     Excellent communication and writing skills. •     Able to work in fast-paced environment, with quick turnarounds and deadlines. •     Knowledge of foreign geography. •     Foreign language (preferably Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities •     Interact with independent consultants and staff members of funding agencies. •     Prepare employment agreements for fielding independent consultants on overseas projects. •     Mobilize consultants (both independent consultants and permanent staff) to foreign countries: obtain visas, necessary country clearances and travel authorizations from funding agencies; make airline and hotel reservations; Medevac and medical insurance; medical certifications; shipping/storing household effects for long-term consultants. •     Administrative backstopping for consultants on overseas projects (liaison between consultants and in-house staff). •     Administrative backstopping for in-house staff.
