For on-going and upcoming projects in West Asia, Africa and the Middle East GITEC’s Department “Water Supply and Sanitary Engineering” is looking for
Resident Engineers (MSc, BSc or equivalent) (m/f)
for Water Supply, Sewerage and Wastewater Treatment Projects.
Job Description:
Construction Supervision
Commissioning and taking over
Proactive coordination of input by project stakeholders
Contract Management in accordance with FIDIC conditions of contract
Reporting to donor agencies, clients and partners
Coordination of local and international team members
Duration: Nine months up to two years (with possible extension), depending on project
Education: Civil Engineer, background of site supervision (with a university degree on the level of BSc or higher)
Professional Experience/Qualification:
A minimum experience of 10 years in the field of water supply, sewerage and waste water treatment plants with emphasis supervision of works
Experience of at least three years in developing countries
Experience in working with international partners and authorities
Familiar with FIDIC conditions and donor funded projects.

Strong management, project planning and organisational skills
Leadership and team-building
Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a remote location in an unstable security environment
Cultural sensitivity
Fully computer literacy
Professional application of subject related software
Fluency in English required, Arabic desirable, German a plus
