The Senior Director, Planning & Budget ensures that the Agency’s budget is developed in line with strategic and operational plans. S/he supervises the tracking of overall actual income and expenses against budget to ensure that the maximum amount of money goes to the Agency’s programs, an optimal amount is spent on overhead, and the funds are spent in an efficient and prudent manner in all areas. The Senior Director leads the annual budgeting process for the Agency and provides budget direction and monthly budget versus actual reporting/analysis of financial results to HQ divisional budget holders. S/he supervises completion of all aspects of the Agency budget and operations plans, including all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. The Senior Director leads or is point person for the financial elements of projects related to strategic planning, divisional planning and projects related to organizational transition. The position also oversees the approved staff list, analyzes position related changes. and supervises/conducts various special planning and financial analysis projects as requested by senior management.
