Job Description

CHF International’s mission is to be a catalyst for long-lasting positive change in low-and moderate-income communities around the world, helping them to improve their social, economic and environmental conditions. CHF International is seeking an Economic Development expert with experience responding to humanitarian emergencies providing assessments of both short term and longer term needs for economic development. Programs should be focused on immediate cash for work type programs and longer term economic development programs for an urban environment. Inclusion of youth and gender and other targeted populations is required. It is estimated that you will need to spend 2 weeks in Haiti and then write a comprehensive report the third week. Qualifications Must be able to deploy to Haiti the week of January 18 Master’s preferred Experience in humanitarian emergencies similar to the Tsunami response is required. Ability to assess and write reports quickly and to work in a disaster environment needed. Fluency in French and English required. Knowledge of OFDA preferred. Prior Haiti experience preferred.
