Job Description

An opportunity has become available for an exceptional Representative to establish an incountry presence and oversee Austcare’s operations in Thailand. This role will develop networks to identify funding opportunities, establish and resource country and project offices as appropriate and work in close co-operation with local communities and partners. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic individual to start up, develop and successfully implement Austcare’s new Thailand country program. To be successful in this role, you should address the following selection criteria: - A deep commitment to Austcare’s vision, mission and values.· Proven leadership and management (including financial) of development projects. - Proven ability to work with government authorities, NGOs, development agencies and community groups. - Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, integrity and cross-cultural qualities. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Proven ability to identify and secure funding opportunities. - Ability to work with donors and meet donor requirements and procedures. - Experience and understanding of protection issues in relation to refugees and IDPs - Proven ability in conducting capacity assessments and building capacity within partner organisations - Knowledge of and experience in working in Asia is preferred.
