The U.S. Agency for International Development has partnered with World Vision and the Australian Agency for International Development to launch All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development, a competition open to development organizations and aims to seek ideas that would improve early grade reading outcomes in low-income areas.
USAID, World Vision and AusAID are looking for game-changing solutions to the issue of literacy. Millions of students in impoverished regions graduate primary school without being able to read basic words, a situation that hampers personal and national advancement.
Submit your ideas to address childhood literacy by downloading the request for application and reading the full guidelines here. Organizations with the winning submissions will be eligible for as much as $300,000 in funding to be provided by USAID, AusAID, and World Vision.
