Alight
About
Alight, established in 1978 as the American Refugee Committee, works alongside displaced people to co-create high-quality services and programs that address their needs. Each year, Alight serves 4 million people in over 20 countries who have been displaced by conflict, natural disasters, and social and economic crises. They refer to the displaced as their "customers" instead of “beneficiaries" as a reminder that their voices guide their decisions. By co-creating alongside displaced people, they can ensure that they are meeting their needs and moving beyond basic necessities to build lives that are full of joy, dignity, and purpose.
