Opportunity International
About

Opportunity  International  designs, delivers, and scales innovative financial solutions that help families living in extreme poverty build sustainable livelihoods and access quality education for their children. We equip families with the tools and training they need to build their businesses, improve their harvests, send their children to school, and break the cycle of poverty. Drawing on over 50 years of experience, we are reaching further down the economic pyramid to bring hope to families living in extreme poverty. Opportunity International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, incorporated and registered in Illinois.

Opportunity International works with partners in the United States, Australia, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom to help create a sustainable approach to fight global poverty. We implement programs through a worldwide network of staff, branches, subsidiary banks, and local nongovernmental organizations, as well as local partners—commercial, nonprofit, and microfinance institutions. Contributions from individuals, governments, corporations, and foundations are leveraged to enable our work in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
