About

CODIFOR is a non-profit organization related to French employer organizations. It was created by French business operators in order to transfer at an international scale, French company experiences and know-how to support industry and employee skills development. For more than 30 years, CODIFOR carried out projects in over 40 countries and worked for the main backers of international cooperation.

Codifor operates on behalf of UIMM and the Federation of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Industries (FIEEC), the Textile Union (UIT), the Aerospace Association (GIFAS), and the MEDEF international.

Codifor participates in the process of globalization by setting up a propitious framework for investments by supporting bilateral and multilateral cooperation policies. Today, employee qualification is a key factor that encourages investments and develops company productivity. Codifor offers concrete solutions in three main areas:

  • Technical support to foreign professional organizations
  • Support to social dialogue development
  • Support to French company through foreign partners and employee training
  • Support to define countries strategy through a technical expertise on behalf of Public Authorities and multilateral organizations in foreign countries

 

What We Do

Contributing to the creation of an advantageous framework for companies

Codifor’s main interests regarding its activities internationally – exports, business and industrial partners, creation of activities on site- is to look for conditions in order to promote its development. The workforce quality and also technical and institutional support are important elements of this environment.

  • Skills transfer, in terms of training, to local partners who are able to support a company in terms of training and counseling using their own tools and applying local market prices. To carry out this transfer, Codifor often relies on international cooperation financing.
  • Support granted by donors in order to modernize training strategy: cooperation organizations are financing vocational training reform programs in emerging countries.
  • Professional organizations and private sector development: there are cooperation programs aiming at strengthening company representatives’ organizations in emerging countries. Our projects aim at facilitating cooperation relationship implementation as well as business and industry partnership environment.

It is well known that a company operating abroad may have experience difficulties hiring skilled employees. These difficulties are considerable in the management intermediaries sector and can be detrimental to development or partnership. Therefore, company decided to carry out, occasionally, training actions for salaries. However, these actions have a bad impact on their functioning and can make worse their productivity.
